Jan Manos, Drama Teacher
Also, thanks to Judi Patterson for sharing the passing of Jan Manos, a drama teacher, who substituted for Audrey Seidel in 1973 when she was pregnant. (Judi and her daughter Shari attended Jan’s 94th birthday party.)
While she was only at GHS for a short, her life is amazing. Lynn and I love the historic Balboa Theater (where we go to its Silent Movie series with a nephew and his wife, all of us film lovers). Jan was instrumental in fundraising for the Poway Theater and has a stage named after her and was instrumental in fundraising for the restoration of the Balboa Theater (her grandfather Robert Hicks built it.).
It’s amazing the journey of one who touched GHS, if only briefly.
